Centro La Familia Advocacy Services offers a library of brochures, videos and other materials that provide helpful information about issues such as domestic violence, human trafficking, parenting, mental health and more. Some material is available for download; other items can be requested by contacting our agency.
Domestic Violence Brochure
Get the facts about domestic violence in this pamphlet that explains the different kinds of abuse, the steps to take when dealing with an abusive partner, the laws protecting both citizen and non-citizen victims and more. We also detail the services and support available to victims from Centro La Familia Advocacy Services.
Human Trafficking Brochure
Find out more about the dark world of modern-day slavery in this brochure discussing the crime of human trafficking, the suffering of its victims, the legal protections that cover citizens and non-citizens and much more. You’ll also see information about case assessment, immigration services and other assistance available from Centro La Familia Advocacy Services.
Our colorful human trafficking fotonovela, or storybook, follows “Esperanza” as she is forced into domestic servitude in a local household. We see Esperanza’s struggles as she falls into the hands of a trafficker, looks for help to escape this illegal bondage and works to lead a free and productive life.
